TAN-LUXE is the brainchild of beauty entrepreneur Marc Elrick. Marc and his hair-stylist husband Dylan own an award winning hair salon in Glasgow and listened to hundreds of clients on a weekly basis comparing notes and issues with finding a self tanning product that truly delivered exceptional results. Recurring conversations in the salon highlighted universal dissatisfaction with smell, colour, dryness and streaking which was not being addressed by the market leaders.
Marc, a self confessed beauty obsessive, set about using this insight to create a line of hero products that would work differently to the ‘one size fits all’ thinking of traditional self tan and deliver reliable, flawless results every time. In theory it was a simple thought - if women can control the colour and results of their make-up why not their tan? Marc began researching formulations and scientific developments which would deliver a super natural, sun kissed look but with the added benefits of serious skincare ingredients. 5 years of research, development, focus groups and 1000’s of lab submissions resulted in the conception of TAN-LUXE. And the end results were AMAZING.
In July 2015 TAN-LUXE launched hero product The FACE which quickly became a cult product and beauty editor favourite almost overnight. And with rave reviews and sales soaring, industry awards began to follow with TAN-LUXE winning QVC UK’s Best new Brand and Best Skincare Innovation and Harpers Bazaar Best Facial Tanning Product in their Best of The Best beauty awards.
Marc credits his relentless positivity and creative visualisation with the success of the brand. Coupled with his creativity and ability not to take himself too seriously, Marc is the epitome of a true beauty entrepreneur. His quick witted, infectious laugh and sense of humour has also won him legions of fans via his exposure presenting on QVC in Europe & HSN in the US.
